TTRSA have in-house traffic survey experience and the ability to undertake a range of automatic and manual (video-based) traffic counts. Some of the main types of traffic count that we undertake are detailed below.
Automatic Traffic Counts
TTRSA undertakes Automatic Traffic Count (ATC) using our MetroCount Vehicle Classifiers for short duration traffic counts, typically 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days or 14 days. Our ATCs record the direction, speed and type of each vehicle travelling over a pair of sensors, giving full flexibility for analysis and reporting.
Manual Traffic Counts
TTRSA undertakes video-based manual traffic counts, including Manual Classified Counts (MCC) for a wide variety of situations and all types of junction. Our clients typically require classification of: Cycle; Motorcycle; Car and Light Goods Vehicle; and, Bus/Coach and Heavy Goods Vehicle movements, but we can be flexible in terms of applying custom classification to meet specific needs. All of our Manual Classified Counts are analysed in Ireland and our video surveys do not allow individuals or vehicle registrations to be identified.
Pedestrian Counts
TTRSA undertakes a range of pedestrian surveys, which can be customised to your requirements, including: directional flows; footfall on routes or links; and, analysis of crossing movements using video based-techniques. Our video based pedestrian counts do not allow individuals to be identified.
